The Happiness App is a spot I directed this year. A new character introduction for the Rent A Center brand for a national ad campaign. The character “Cinch” was designed in-agency and brought to us for a facelight, followed by a 30 second animated spot. There was the idea of having him on a white cyc, but I suggested we spice it up with some other elements. We ended up going with this theater setting where elements were sliding in.
The character was used in smaller spots through out the year for smaller campaigns.
